Erika Eckstrom


Erika Eckstrom is a classically trained violinist and vocalist who earned a Bachelor's Degree from American University in Anthropology and Music, and is working towards a Masters degree in Public Communications. Erika's fiddle playing and beautiful vocals help make the unique “Strange Creek” sound.

Matt Murphy


Matt Murphy was raised by a bluegrass/old-time family and plays Country, Rockabilly, Bluegrass, and Folk. He performs his solo act weekly at Osgood's Restaurant at the Bolger Center in Potomac Maryland, and has been playing open mikes, weddings, pubs,and festivals for the past five years. He recorded three demo cds of country, rock and folk songs. Matt's fine guitar playing and strong country/rock vocals add to the sound of “Strange Creek”.

Jonathan Smith


Jonathan Smith has been playing lead guitar in rock bands in New York and the DC Metro area for the past four years and has a passion for rock, country and especially Lynyrd Skynyrd and Creedence Clearwater Revival. He is also a Sergeant in the US Army stationed at Ft. Myers. Jonathan's clean and vibrant guitar style adds to the “Strange Creek” sound.

Gene Sutch


Gene Sutch has been playing drums for 42 years and played in rock, blues and punk rock bands in the 1970s and 1980s in the New York City area in clubs like CBGBs, Max's Kansas City, and Irving Plaza. He enjoys playing old country, rockabilly, rock, folk and blues. Gene's solid back beat fills out the bottom for the “Strange Creek” sound.
